About Us
Sigma Drilling is a diamond drilling company located in Northwestern Ontario. Sigma Drilling operates Zinex A5 drills capable of 1000m of NQ with helicopter portable capabilities and all required equipment to complete surface drill programs at a rate of 2,000- 2,500m / month pending drill hole layout.
Sigma Drilling will cost effectively deliver your surface drill program requirements. We can guarantee the safety, production and respect the environment of the drill site, while ensuring that expectations of area residents and adjacent communities are met. We will adapt our drilling methodologies and program approach to meet the operation standards. We hold pride in our transparency and integrity.
About Our President
Mike Galeotafiore is the sole owner of Sigma Drilling Inc. He brings 15 years of comprehensive experience in surface drilling and sample processing, spanning the entire mining cycle from exploration to milling. In his previous roles, he has provided strong leadership within large mining maintenance crews, ensuring efficient operations, team cohesion. His leadership enabled previous projects to be completed on time and within budget. Mike’s extensive experience in the mining industry, combined with his dedication to training and leadership, has consistently contributed to the advancement of operational excellence and team performance.
A lifelong resident of Dryden, he balances his professional dedication with a passion for the outdoors, enjoying fishing, hunting, and camping. Known for his strong work ethic, loyalty, and easy-going nature, Mike is a determined individual who values integrity, kindness, and respect.

Insurance /Liability
$5,500,000.00 liability policy along with $2,000,00.00 auto liability insurance. Sigma Drilling utilizes Bright HR for health and safety compliance.

Safety Measures
- First aid kits are available at every workstation
- All employees are trained and certified in first aid
- All employees are trained and certified in fall arrest
- All employees have metatarsal boots and cut resistance gloves, reflective gear
- Employees who are to operate equipment such as dozer, skidder and drill must have experience and certification through common core
- While working around sumps on drill pad, workers must use buddy system with a long rope and floatable device readily available also wear life jackets
- While working night shift, buddy system must be applied with all required work that is outside the drill pad perimeter
- FLRA assessment done daily, and when there is a new task at hand or a task outside the daily routine.
- Internet access provided at drill site to keep communication between team and clients
Environmental Guidelines
- All waste separated in according recycle/ waste bin
- Clean out all pails of fluid leaving no residue in pail
- Use spill kits, are readily available at every station
- Have spill trays under all generated sources
- No fuel cube left at water supply pump
- Have pump shack away from water source, build a burm around pump shack for containment
- Build sumps on drill pad for drill hole water return containment
- Repair all disturbed ground from equipment
- Avoid tree felling when possible
- Respect the habitat of wild animals
